Growing up I loved family game night.
My parents had a closet full of board games, so did my Grandmother. It was great, everyone old and young sat around the dining room table and played a board game. Eating snacks and socializing. It was great family bonding time. A little family game competition was good too.
What board games did you use to play?
What board games did you use to play as a kid? What board games do you currently play? Do you have a family game night? Or do you gather up all the friends and do appetizers and game night?
Video games and apps you can load into your iPad have taken the current world by storm. You can play games and challenge your brain while you ride the bus to and from work or school. You can electronically play video games with people in other countries via the internet. The down fall to most video and electronic app games is they are solo player games or non-social games. You may communicate with your web players via code or a few words but the social interaction with these forms of games is lower than traditional board games. Don’t get me wrong I am not knocking video games I am a Mother of a boy who is very good at Mario games. There is a time and a place and a time limit for everything.
Bring back traditional game night with a twist.
In the interest of saving money and family bonding why not bring back family game night or game night with friends. Below you will find some classic and current games that you are sure to enjoy. Have a blast, save money and spend some time with friends and family.
