Five minutes to savings.
Yesterday, I spent 5 minutes online printing coupons and I saved $11 with coupons while shopping at our local grocery store. Eleven dollars is eleven dollars I didn’t have to spend.
Our savings went beyond this $11 when we price matched, opted for value packs, choose cheaper brands and shopped with a budget in mind. We also used our cash envelope system to ensure we didn’t go over budget.
How to save with coupons:
First, don’t be brand specific.
Second, book mark all the online coupon resources available to you The Ultimate Printable Coupon Source.
Third, shop with a list.
Fourth, print off all the coupons that match with items on your list.
Fifth, checkout the sales flyers for stores in your area and match your coupons with sales for more savings.
Sixth, for bigger savings stack your coupons with store sales and store coupons if your grocery store allows.
Seventh, enjoy your savings.
More sources for savings.
- Some stores offer loyalty cards that you can load with store sales and savings coupons.
- Certain areas receive coupons in the mail or in your local paper. Clip them and file them for use later.
- Check your store flyers for deals, case lot sales. Note that sales usually cycle about every three to four weeks.
- Keep track of seasonal sales and specials.
- Do you have brands you love? Email them asking for samples or coupons for more savings.
Spending a few minutes looking over your grocery list, your sales flyers and clipping a few coupons can save you a significant amount of money. My savings was small, your savings could be huge.
